cosmoONE is taking part in the ‘MIDAS’ project,which is introducing new methods for the transformationof procurement procedures, in State University, based on selected tools,in order to reduce costs and increase productivity and transparency.
The implementation of MIDAS includes the development of a scientifically documented and professionally prepared integrated set of tools and methods for the use of e-procurement procedures by State Universities. This project is consistent with the recognized Kraljic matrix to examine the nature and classify purchases of supplies.
This project is expected to bring significant benefits, including lower costs of purchasing goods and services, lower management costs, shorter procurement cycle, increased use of authorized vendors, transparent procedures, fewer off-contract purchases, and total improvement in process efficiency.
Because of its wide application range, MIDAS may be used by all educational institutions, and by the wider public and private sector.
The MIDAS project, with a total budget of €366,567, is implemented under an initiative called ‘Cooperation 2011 – Synergies between production and research organizations in focused research and technology industries’, and is co-funded by the National Strategic Reference Program (NSRF).
The ARISTOTLE UNIVERSITY OF THESSALONIKI – LABORATORY OF ECONOMIC ANALYSIS & POLICY is also participating in the project,and REMACO SA BUSINESS CONSULTANTS is the project’s coordinator.
