OTE, COSMOTE and cosmoONE respectively were awarded for the For the e-procurement system they apply and their international activity, at the 2013 e-volution awards, held at the Athens InterContinental, with the participation of representatives from the e-Business market.
OTE and COSMOTE were awarded for the Group’s e-procurement services in the category “B2B e-Commerce Application”, under “Awards for Companies that utilize e-Business”. OTE is the first company to introduce the B2B e-procurement innovation since 2001, through cosmoONE, a subsidiary of the Group. Today, OTE and COSMOTE use 10 different applications for corporate purchasing, resulting in a reduction in purchase prices and procedure costs, as well as in greater efficiency, speed and transparency. Their expertise in this area is gradually being transferred to other Group companies inGreeceand abroad.
cosmoONE was awarded for its activity abroad, inRomania,SerbiaandAzerbaijan. The company offers B2B e-procurement services specializing in B2B services for electronic requests for quotations (eRFQs), electronic auctions (e-Auctions), electronic procurement (e-Procurement) and electronic transfer of invoices (e-Invoices). This is the second consecutive award received by cosmoONE at the e-volution awards.
The awards were received by Mr Ioannis Vlahos, Assistant General Manager for Financial Services responsible for OTE’s purchasing, and Mr Thanasis Petmezas, General Manager of cosmoONE.
The aim of the e-volution awards is to highlight best practices and innovative ideas from the area of e-commerce. The awards are organized by Boussias Communications with the scientific support of the e-Business Research Center (ELTRUN) of the Athens University of Economics and Business.
